Acts of charity...


Rich Kasten Band rocks Pasadena charity driven event

Acts Thrift Store had their 3rd Annual celebration July 13th 2013. It was a fun event open to the public where food was supplied by Pasadena icon Pie n’ Burger. At 10am The Rich Kasten Band was on stage in the large pavilion for their 1st of 2 sets. Stand out moments: The songs “In Awe”, “I Won’t Give Up This Fight” and singer, Michelle Harden joining the band on stage for the song “More”.  The band ISOR also played later in the day getting the crowd going with classic rock hits
Albert Tate hosted the event. Tate is Senior pastor at Fellowship Monrovia in Monrovia, Ca. Mayor of Pasadena, Bill Bogaard was in attendance and he provided inspiring words of support for the event and the charities they serve. Also, Senior pastor of Lake Avenue Church, in Pasadena, Ca.Greg Waybright, offered an uplifting prayer.The event and Acts Thrift Store supports programs administered by Lake Avenue Community Foundation. These programs include STARS, which provides after school mentoring and tutoring programs. ACTS also partners with other Social Service and Charitable organizations including: Door of Hope, Madison Healthy Start, Families in Transition, Foothill Unity Center; Fuller Theological Seminary, Elizabeth House, Walter Hoving Home, Union Station Homeless Services, Women at Work, Family Promise, Journey House, Young and Healthy and Harambee Ministries.
